we were not sure how sammie was going to react to the new addition to the family. we were sure she would not be aggressive, just not sure of the response. she is warming up slowly to the little man. at first she didn't care. she smelled him and walked away. yesterday bethany was here taking his newborn shots and he honestly didn't care...but yet he did. sammie always knows where we are and as a result he knows where brody is.
here are a few things i have noticed...
..yesterday brody was crying and sammie walked over the play yard ..i like to think he wanted to let me know he was crying..as if I didn't know.
..this AM sammie came down stairs hopped up on the couch and looked down into the play yard ... I like to think to check on brody.
...brian said during their walk sammie would come and sniff at the stroller.... i like to think this is him checking in on him
result: Sammie likes to put on the "too cool" act but mom has already seen through it. She cares..honestly I think she does.

I know Sammie cares... she probably just doesn't want to let on. Or maybe she is pretending he will go away soon and things will get back to normal. Good Girl, Sam! She probably does want to check in with him and make sure he is ok.
