Since I'm relatively new to this blogging thing, let me formally introduce to Sam. I blogged about her earlier but you have never had the formal intro... Sam meet (you fill in your name here)
Samantha Thomas (formally Knutson) was born in April of 2002, I have had her since she was 6 wks old. I had never had my own dog before and thought that I would get a lab so that if it didn't work out maybe my dad would take her. Now I can't even image giving her up. She goes by Sam or Sammie and sometimes Samantha.
Sam is an indoor lab that prefers to sleep on her bed by the fireplace or on the couch. During the day she does goes in her kennel in our bedroom.
Here are some things I love about Sam...
- she sleeps on the bed at my feet
- she lays outside the shower when I'm showering
- she is great off leash
- when she is tired she grunts
- she loves to play ball and swim
- she doesn't chew up her stuffed animals but plays with them..FOREVER.. she knows them all by name: the beaver, the hog and most recently the monkey!!!
- she doesn't like to poop in an open field or yards...she runs to tall grass or somewhere far away
I can't say that she is much of a cuddlier but we are working on it. I think she has realized that it's just easier to give in than it is to fight..maybe in her older age she has learned to enjoy it. She had a lot of energy at as pup but has really settled down in the last few years.
We love Sam!
