Please pray for Brody as he has had a fever over 100 for the last 24hrs now. Brian and I were up with him all night last night..about 2hr shifts. He has a stuffy nose and couldn't sleep. Timing is horrible right now as we both work weekends and its our end of year this month so the boss don't like us off.(oh well what can he do?! but still) I worked today and Brian stayed home with him and took him to the doctor. Ears and lungs check out ok, looks like it's just a cold. He goes back in Tuesday for his 4 month appointment so he will get checked out again which makes me comforted. The good news is that we may be on the upswing as Brian got him down for 3 hrs earlier today and his appetite seems to be returning. Still a fever though. Please pray for rest and healing for him...and us - rest that is. If the fever breaks he will go see Bethany tomorrow and Brian and I can both work. Then I'm home Mon and Tues. He is in true Brody spirits though...cry, cry, sniff, sniff....SMILE..cry..SMILE. You can't help but love him.

he is sleeping upright in his car seat(smart brian started that today...)
Vick's vapor rub
sucking his snot out with that snot thingy
salt & water mixture flush for his nose

dang...we will for sure pray for brody and you guy's to.
You are such good parents. You are doing everything right. I use "Little Noses" nasal spray. It's a saline solution just like you are doing. You are doing all the right things. A sick baby is NEVER fun. Good luck and we will be praying for all three of you!

It's always so nervewracking when they're sick, it sounds like you guys are handling it great and doing everything to get him better! Hang in there!
Oh no! Poor sweet brody! When Emma had a really bad cold when she was just a little older then brody I fed her in the bathroom after steaming it up from hot water. You get HOT but I think it helped her to breathe when she was trying to eat.
He be better before you know it! (We did the carseat thing too!
I'm sorry Brody is sick :( If he is congested turn your shower on hot, close the bathroom door, sit on the toilet with Brody and let the steam fill up your bathroom. It really feels good and helps the congestion. Oh, funny, I just read Jenn's advice...great minds...you know the rest!
PS prepare for frizzy hair!
