sleep?

I have embraced since day 1 a 3 hour feed, wake, sleep cycle. Brody has figured out what nightime is and wakes up once in the middle of the night for feedings. He goes anywhere from 4-6hours at night. This tells me he knows how to sleep.
The problem is daytime sleep. The little guy will not stay down for more than 30mins. I'm completely at a loss. We have tried the "cry it out" and it doesn't work, he just gets worked up even more...trust me I tried but after 45mins to an hour something had to be done. I rock him to sleep and put him down. I rock him and put him down awake and he drifts off...everything ...when I put him down for the first time. After 30mins he is up and tired and not willing to sleep. It can take me up to a hour to get him back down again but by then he is hungry and it's time to eat. I'm completely at a loss and think I'm starting to loose my mind. What I do know is that I can't hold him during his entire nap. The definition of insanity is doing something over and over again and getting the same result...i think i'm going insane.
I called the doula..hopefully she can help.

I've been there. I have a friend who said the same thing. I honestly think that sleep is something that evolves...even naps. Check your myspace...I'll email you some things that have helped me!

I know for us the cradle swing was a LIFESAVER. Tyler would sleep hours at a time swinging away (both at naps and at night). He loved it!

I have no wisdom to offer, just some prayers and a long distance hug. :)
