Brian has spent hours..and hours teaching Sammie to stick her head in the dog bone bag and get herself a bone. This use to be our evening activities. Obviously this isn't a self serve thing, but when we get them off the top shelf and tell her to reach in and get a bone. I have always thought this was a complete waste of time. How will this benefit us? Shouldn't you be teaching her something else? Something more useful? UNTIL today!! As I sat feeding Brody, Sammie sat down in the middle of the family room and gave me the "treat look." And yes she did deserve a treat but my hands were full and busy. What do I do? I stood up, baby in hand, walked to the pantry, got out the bag and lowered it to Sam as she helped herself to a bone. It was perfect!
After taking this photo I realized the "veterinarian recommended" call out on the bag. By the way..it's not at least from ours. She said it's like feeding our dog a whopper a day in doggie calories! Sammie likes them and has remained lean so we haven't with held..yet.

Goliath loves those! I am cheap and buy them in bulk at WinCo. I think I will start to train him to be more independent, too. You never know!
