HI I'm Brody Scott Thomas. This is my first blog so let me introduce myself. I'm the son of Christina and Brian. My first name is just a name my mom and dad liked and could agree upon. Scott is my grandpa and Thomas..well that's just my last name. I was pulled out of my mommy's tummy early Saturday morning into a VERY bright room. My dad was the first to hold me and he showed my face to my mom. We have spent the last few days in this room in what they call a hospital. I had my own bed as did my mom, dad slept on the couch. My bed was small and moms bed moved up and down because she had troubles getting in and out of it, I think that has something to do with my arrival. My first two days I spent sleeping, trying to learn how to eat, and being held by my mom, dad and grandma Barb...as well as many other strangers. My mom had to stay in bed and walked very slowly so Grandma Barb spent a lot of time in our room helping her and holding me. I am still learning to eat but mom keeps saying she is waiting for the milk to come in. Not sure where it's coming from but I can't wait for it to get here, neither can she for some reason - I'm the one eating it. My dad wraps me up in a blanket that my mom calls swaddling, my dad calls me burrito boy when I have it all wrapped around me. What's a burrito? I weigh about 7lbs 13oz now, I've dropped a few pounds but I've heard I will gain them back, again something about that milk coming in. Dr. Brown came and saw me yesterday and she told my mom that I'm strong and looking good. Was there any question?
Today mom and dad put me in this plastic carrier thing and we left our room, passed the nursery and went out the big glass doors. I was excited but fell asleep. When I woke up hours later my mom told me that I was at home. Home? I guess this is where I will live now. It seems like a great place. I still need to check the rest of the place out before I make my final decision. I heard I have my very own room upstairs, haven't seen it yet though.
My mom is doing very good. She is walking more now and a little quicker. Both her and dad are excited to be at this place they call home. I guess I am too and I will call it home too.

Dear Brody - I can't wait to meet you. You look like you are enjoying yourself. I bet it is neat out there in the world. I hope you have things figured out by the time I am born. You can give me some hints on how to deal.
